Aleix Espargaró is very excited for the Aragon Grand Prix that MotoGP will hold this weekend in Alcañiz.
The Aprilia rider is called to redeem after a summer period not exactly to remember, in which he lost ground from the summit occupied by Fabio Quartararo, also due to physical problems.
At the MotorLand Aragón the Spaniard is 33 points behind his Yamaha rival and -3 from a Pecco Bagnaia very fast with his Ducati, but the goal is to recover the polish as soon as possible, also taking advantage of the good condition found.

“After the hand injury we say that the finger may not be very nice to look at, but it doesn’t hurt me and so I think it won’t be a problem”, explains Espargaró, who then returns to the placings of the latest outings at the Red Bull Ring and Misano.
“Clearly two sixth places were not the best result for the championship, but the tracks were difficult for us and all in all I was satisfied.”
“Now there are circuits that I like very much and Aragón is one of those on which I ride better, so I’m confident and can’t wait to get started.”
And here the driver of the Noale manufacturer explains what are the cards that will be played on ‘home’ ground, to quickly return to the protagonist of the series.
“In general we suffer a bit on the curvy tracks, personally I struggle a bit under braking to stop the bike, but when I can lean well on fast variants the bike is stable and competitive”.
“This is why Aragón is a good track for us, so there are all the conditions for it to be the best this year, and maybe even ever, for Aprilia.”

As we said, a -33 with six events from the end of the 2022 season can be a rather important delay, but also a gap that can be bridged knowing that there are 150 points up for grabs.
That’s why Espargaró and Aprilia will do everything to get back on top or at least on the podium, starting with Aragón.
“The championship has entered the last part and we are approaching the end, we will have something like 5 races in 6 weeks and it will be crazy, but at the same time fun and challenging”.
“We cannot afford to lose any more points, we have to get back as competitive as we were in the first part of the season. Aragón is a track that I love and I hope we can get back on the podium from here.”
