On the wet track of Misano it was a show Niccolò Antonelli, author of an impressive pole position, signed with six tenths of an advantage over the second classified, Filip Salac, and seven over the third, the other Italian Riccardo Rossi. The two ‘blues’ had both passed from Q1, also dominated by Antonelli with a huge margin of over a second. After the cut, the KTM driver imposed his law also in Q2. For the Avintia VR46 team rider it was the ninth pole of his career in Moto3. Second row for Guevara, Acosta and Masia. The headlights were obviously all on the championship leader, who did not disappoint expectations.

The rookie of the KTM Ajo team in fact obtained the fifth position on the grid, positioning himself nine pitches ahead of his only contender in the general classification: Dennis Foggia. The Italian of Leopard Racing struggled throughout the session, never managing to give the impression of being able to drag his Honda into the very first rows. In the end he managed to grab 14th place on the grid, almost a second and a half behind Acosta’s time and 2.4 seconds from Antonelli’s pole position. To keep the world title hopes alive, a comeback in tomorrow’s race will be essential.
