Japan again on this Sunday of the World Championship. After the double by Ayumu Sasaki and Tatsuki Suzuki in Moto3, the land of the Rising Sun is also celebrating with Ai Ogura in Moto2. The Team Asia driver, who started from pole position, led a largely quiet race. Two jolts: one at the beginning, with the response to the overtaking of Alonso Lopez in the initial stages; one at the penultimate corner, when he snatched the victory overtaking on team mate Somkiat Chantra, who had attacked him by surprise.

Thanks to this victory and Fernandez’s placement, Ogura took the lead in the championship, with 183 points, one more than the Spaniard in KTM. Vietti is at -27: without the crash he would have been at least at -9. Canet at -46.
