The filming of ‘Where two fit’ has barely finished, and its director, Paco Caballero, is already shooting a new feature film, ‘Mother’s Love’, a comedy about a young man who has been dumped by his girlfriend, and to take advantage of the paid honeymoon trip, his mother will take the place of the bride. Like ‘Where two fit’, ‘Mother’s love’ is also produced by Netflix, and will be released through the platform.
Starring Carmen Machi, Quim Gutiérrez, Yolanda Ramos, Celia Freijeiro, Edeen Bhugeloo and Jake Francois, the film is shot between the Canary Islands and Madrid from a script signed by Cristóbal Garrido and Adolfo Valor. Carmen Machi had already worked with the director Paco Caballero in ‘Perdiendo el Este’ (2019).
The plot begins with a young man at the altar on his wedding day. The bride is late and the groom’s nerves take hold of him until he finally realizes that it will never come. Despite the bad move of his future wife, the boy finds strength to enjoy what he most wanted, his honeymoon. But these days of vacations in solitude will not be possible since his mother will come to the rescue, who will not want to leave her grieving son, whom she has excessively pampered, composed and without a girlfriend, since she wants to take advantage of the romantic trip without her son. do alone. That strange honeymoon with mom, which for the boy turns into hell and feeling completely miserable, will be for his mother one of the most wonderful experiences of his life.
The film has been shot in two parts. The first a few months ago in Tenerife, with locations in Santa Cruz and Las Teresitas beach, among other locations on the Canary Island, and a second in Madrid, where it ends these days. ‘Amor de madre’ is a production by Juan Gordon and Sofía Fábregas for Netflix, which will premiere throughout 2021.
