The first in Russia state social service was launched in Moscow online store aggregator Non-profit organization “Moscow is a good city” with a catalog of goods from wards of non-profit organizations. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.
“The goal of the aggregator is to provide socially oriented NGOs with a modern convenient online platform and a new channel for selling goods made by the hands of people with disabilities and those who are in a difficult life situation who need special support and care. Those interested can familiarize themselves with the products, go to the sites of the NGO and purchase it. So, on the one hand, we support the activities of socially oriented NGOs and their wards, because the employment of people with disabilities and mental disabilities is an opportunity for them to self-actualize, develop professionally and find a job. On the other hand, the aggregator enables ordinary Muscovites and large corporate customers to choose gifts with meaning, ”said the vice-mayor.
On the website of the online store aggregator, there are already partner NGOs: “Unity”, “Life Path” and “Emerald City”, which help people with mental disabilities and their families in social adaptation. Non-profit organization “Equal Opportunities” gives people with mental disabilities the opportunity to earn money through creative work. Under him work art workshops “Okoyom”, in which people with disabilities get the opportunity to realize themselves as artists, decorators, costume designers. The Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Large Families and Families with Disabled Children “Family Hearth” helps families in difficult life situations, provides social support to families with children with disabilities. The Granny’s project supports retirees from all over Russia in the sale of hand-made products. The Life as a Miracle Charitable Foundation (support for children with severe liver diseases), the Children’s Hospice, the Space of Communication Center and other socially oriented NGOs working with people with disabilities in the capital also presented creative products. The catalog of goods for corporate orders also includes the products of the Remesla Rehabilitation Center for Disabled People, subordinate to the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Moscow City.
Participation in the project for SO NPO is free. To join, you must fill out the feedback form on website…
The aggregator “Moscow is a good city” will be able to present unique hand-made products and residents of the capital’s social inpatient institutions, rehabilitation centers and centers for the promotion of family education. The organizer of the project – the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Moscow Population – will help with the professional design and promotion of goods.
Various city or federal institutions, as well as various private companies that pay attention to corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and are looking for gifts with meaning, can become corporate customers of SO NPO products.
So, one of the first major partners of the social aggregator was the city portal “Active Citizen”… Starting July 2021 shelf goods of the Rewards Store of the Active Citizen project will be expanded by adding goods from SO NPOs to the category “Charity”, and users of urban electronic projects connected to the “Rewards Store” will be able to exchange accumulated points, including for souvenirs made by the wards of SO NPOs : teapots and mugs with an author’s decal, notebooks, albums, sketchbooks, aromatic sachets, various toys and other goods.
In December 2020, a new opportunity was added to the “Rewards Store” of the “Active Citizen” project – transferring points to charity, joint support of those in need. There are already 14 charitable organizations that can transfer points. Among them are “Fair Help of Dr. Lisa”, “Give Sunshine”, “Hurry to Do Good!”, “Union”, “Catgirls” and others. To date, more than 13 million rubles have been transferred to charitable foundations by the project participants.
