In Moscow, from December 20, the validity period of QR codes for those who have recovered from COVID-19 will be extended to a year, but the validity period of the code for the PCR test, on the contrary, is reduced to two days. About it reported in the blog of the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin.
As the Moscow mayor noted, the situation with coronavirus infection in the city remains stable. The decision of the Chief Sanitary Doctor on compulsory vaccination of at least 80% of workers in health care, education, social sphere, trade, public catering and a number of other industries has been fully implemented.
Due to the change in the validity period of digital electronic certificates at the federal level in Moscow, QR codes for those who have been ill will be extended from six to 12 months from Monday, the mayor said.
Sobyanin also pointed out that due to the emergence and spread of the new Omicron COVID-19 strain, the validity period of QR codes issued on the basis of negative PCR tests is reduced from three to two calendar days.
At the same time, the electronic codes issued after the vaccination, as before, will be valid for one year.
Now QR codes are needed by Muscovites to visit theaters, museums and public events of more than 500 people.
