The Moscow aerial tramway on Vorobyovy Gory will be closed for maintenance from 18 to 27 October. About it reported at the cable car press office on Monday 11 October.
“The cable car on Vorobyovy Gory will be temporarily closed <...> from 18 to 27 October 2021 inclusive. The temporary closure is due to the planned annual maintenance, which will be carried out in conjunction with representatives of the Swiss company “Bartolet Maschinenbau AG”, – said in a statement.
The press service clarified that the cable car is closed for scheduled maintenance every year in spring and autumn. As a rule, checking and adjusting all life support systems of the air route takes from seven to 10 days, according to the city news agency “Moscow“.
Special technical work is planned for this fall. This is due to the routine procedure for checking the ropeway nodes. Also, an oil change and industrial safety examination will be carried out, including rope defectoscopy – cargo static tests. They will last almost two weeks.
Earlier, on September 13, exercises were held on the Moscow cable car. They involved 70 specialists and 17 pieces of equipment from the rescue and fire-rescue teams of the Fire and Rescue Center and the Moscow City Search and Rescue Service on water bodies.
Intelligence officers conducted a training in actions to evacuate passengers in an emergency on the cable car, writes “Moscow 24“.
