Villegas Lobo expressed that he is surprised and suspicious that state officials asked for drugs with an expiration date of six months or a year, that, in a normal process, projections are made that last longer and the only exception would be in cases of that it is required to buy a specific medicine urgently and that it must be consumed immediately.
Chávez Chávez, president of the Constitutional Points and Governance Commission, called on the state government authorities to carry out investigations to find those responsible for dealing with public resources and to punish those responsible for alleged acts of negligence or irresponsibility in the Ministry of Health, because “how is it possible that there are expired medicines or with very short lifespans, which leads to millionaire losses, when a health sector requires a lot of support”.
