The Community pays three million euros for advice, which will be received by the associations AMPOAS, ASAEMU, ASAJA, FECOAM and UPA
A total of 2,100 farmers and ranchers are the beneficiaries, through the services of the five associations that requested it, from the aid of the advisory program for agricultural holdings. The amount of the plan amounts to 3,375,000 euros, which will begin to be paid from this Thursday by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Environment and Emergencies.
The objective is the advice of the beneficiary entities to the selected users in aspects such as climate change mitigation, conditionality, orientation towards the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in terms of eco-schemes and farm-to-table strategy and Biodiversity , the modernization of farms and the reduction of pesticides, among others.
This economic endowment falls within the framework of the Rural Development Program for the Region of Murcia (FAEDER), convened just over a year ago. The money goes to public or private, non-profit entities that provide advisory services to farmers, ranchers, forest owners and SMEs in rural areas whose scope of action is in the Region of Murcia.
The aid is granted by virtue of the order of the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Environment and Emergencies dated July 19, 2022 to a total of five entities (AMPOAS, ASAEMU, ASAJA, FECOAM and UPA) to distribute in the next three years. The aid granted for this year’s annuity amounts to 1,152,000 euros.
Thus, farmers, ranchers, forest owners and SMEs will receive advice through fourteen offices made available by the five associations mentioned above, in the municipalities of Lorca, San Javier, Cartagena, Águilas, Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia, Mula, Yecla , Totana and Jumilla.
The budget allocation of 3,375,000 euros is financed 63% by the European Fund for Rural Development (FEADER), 25.90% by the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Environment Environment and Emergencies, and 11.10% from the General State Administration, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
