Morbidelli is voting

A decidedly positive day for #21, who in the meeting with the media at the end of the race had the opportunity to summarize this Saturday by giving himself a rating: “Today I give myself a good seven – he has declared – there is margin to achieve victory. I give the bike and the team ten“.
A 4th place which, together with other good results obtained during the day, contributed to raising the level of happiness of Morbidelli, who is increasingly at ease with the team after a complex start to the season: “Today was one great day also for the fact that this morning I had to ten minutes the track record – he continued – I did “44”, which for Mugello is an incredible time. For ten minutes it was the fastest lap in the history of Mugello, so a great day. Every day is the best day on the Ducati, from when I started my parenthesis until now. That means there were a lot of good days. The difficult ones will also come, but we started off really well. Things are like this now: I tried to recover quickly at the beginning of the year. We quickly recovered a large gap in knowledge thanks to the team, to Gino Borsoi and Massimo Branchini and to the whole team who were very close to me and explained to me how to best manage this bike. From here on we only think about getting good results and having fun, also because the championship is none of our business after this winter’s injury“.
In search of solidity
Limited to this afternoon’s Sprint, Morbidelli is also satisfied with the pace achieved in the race, indicating what will be the main objectives to be achieved also by taking advantage of the next tests scheduled again at Mugello from Monday: “We are quite close to Bagnaia and Marquez in the race too – he concluded – but we are looking for solidity, the speed is already very good. Monday’s test will also be important to take other steps to understand the bike even better and bond with it even better.”
