Billionaire Elon Musk commented on Wednesday night (17) the publication of the report by the Legal Committee of the US House of Representatives that accused Federal Supreme Court (STF) Minister Alexandre de Moraes of censoring political speech in the country.

When sharing the publication of a profile that talked about the report, Musk said that “the censorship actions against elected representatives demanded by Alexandre [de Moraes] violate Brazilian legislation”.

Once again, the billionaire directly cited the username used on X by the STF minister, who also presides over the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

Musk also shared a summary of the report made by the same user, where he said that “the law broke the law.”

The US House Judiciary Committee's report was published Wednesday night. The document compiles records sent to a subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee by X Corp.

“The documents and records delivered reveal that, since at least 2022, the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil, in which Moraes serves as a judge, and the Superior Electoral Court of Brazil, led by Moraes, have ordered X Corp to suspend or remove nearly 150 accounts on the popular social media platform”, points out the Committee.

“These censorship demands were specifically targeted at critics of [atual] Brazilian government: conservative members of the federal legislature, journalists, members of the judiciary and even a gospel singer and a pop radio station – in other words, anyone with a platform to criticize the left-wing government [do Brasil]”, adds the published document.
