“In everything we do, our trick to finding the humanity in characters is to have them make a joke in a stressful situation. ‘Moon Knight’, over decades of storytelling, has been somewhat defined by that, at least in some of our favorite series,” they commented at a press conference.
“Like the Lemire-Smallwood series, which goes from one page with something brutal, to half a page later, and there is a punchline, a joke,” they exemplified, implying that the production was indeed inspired by Marvel Comics comics.
