In Mexico, but also in Sinaloa, today there is a kind of mental recession. That is, people look at the future with notorious pessimism. It lacks hope. He has fear, uncertainty and distrust of everything that happens around him. He is invaded by a social attitude of discouragement, of defeat, of impotence. Everything moves by inertia, aimlessly, aimlessly.
Those who should call for action today lack courage. They have lost the initiative and their former daring. The trivial and the inconsequential invade the political agenda. But what is happening now is more serious than you think. The situation is not going well. The personal economy is constantly deteriorating, and social problems are multiplying.
In this emotional recession that invades everyone, people only expect the worst. Jobs disappear, salaries are not enough for anything, and the long-awaited social welfare is a promise that recedes day by day. Impoverishment impacts everyone. Nobody escapes. Every employer, every worker, realizes that things just aren’t working out.
You just have to look around. The economy does not grow, there is inflation and unemployment invades. The roads are still in poor condition. The rural communities are in total abandonment and the cities have terrible services and their streets are destroyed. Hospitals lack the essentials. The schools are deteriorated. There’s no future. Nor enthusiasm. We are in the midst of a mental recession.
Social problems, far from diminishing, continue to increase. There is greater drug addiction, alcoholism, delinquency and public insecurity. Social fear grows, as does uncertainty. No one knows what’s next or where we’re going. The only certainty is that there is nothing promising in the future. There is only a society that is increasingly fractured and perplexed by what is happening.
Society is extremely confused, dazed and bewildered. She is immersed in a mental recession. Before hope turns to despair, it is necessary to counteract this worrying situation. But there are no words of encouragement. Those that generate social trust towards the ruler, and that unify everyone to work on a project with a future.
It is necessary to define a course and build trust to move forward. Every ruler must understand that today’s society only requires less political deliberation, and more and better government results. It is in no one’s interest to have a weak government without the ability to respond. When that happens there are never winners, everyone loses.
Therefore, the supreme action of any ruler is to overcome the fears of the population and win their support. He will have to overcome inertia and the lack of collective spirit. Only in this way can true processes of social transformation be undertaken. Hopefully this is understood, especially in our entity where the little government initiative has already generated a mental recession.
