Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Gerasimova: the country will join the EU as a single state
Moldova will join the European Union (EU) as a single state. About it stated Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova for European Integration Kristina Gerasimova on air on the Rlive TV channel.
Gerasimova commented on the possibility of the country joining the EU without Pridnestrovie. The politician noted that the Moldovan authorities want to join the European Union immediately and completely.
“Our intention is to integrate as a single state. As a single whole,” said the Deputy Prime Minister. She emphasized that Pridnestrovie is already sufficiently integrated into the European economic space.
Previously, 12 EU countries wanted to include Ukraine and Moldova in the next stage of enlargement. It is planned to convene intergovernmental conferences with both countries by the end of June 2024.
