The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence has concluded the second edition of its executive program, which included 43 officials in government and private institutions from across the country, including CEOs, general managers and executives, while the university intends to celebrate graduates during a graduation ceremony to be held next year at its campus in Abu Dhabi. .
Through this program, the university seeks to enhance the participants’ skills and knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence. The duration of the 12-week program includes courses and lectures, as well as projects that participants work on in teams. The program focuses on basic topics, including an introduction to the past, present and future of artificial intelligence and machine learning, artificial intelligence and machine learning, economics, linguistic perception and intelligence, visual perception and intelligence, in addition to the ethics of artificial intelligence and policy formulation, and the future of robotics.
The courses are presented by 11 experts from global leaders in the field of artificial intelligence, including the President of Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Professor Eric Zing, Professor Michael Jordan, and Professor Alexel A. Evros from the University of California Berkeley, Professor Raj Reddy, Professor Takeo Kanade from Carnegie Mellon University, and Professor Daniela Ross from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a number of experts in this field.

It is noteworthy that the participants, as part of their graduation projects, worked to address one of the current national challenges by providing a research solution based on artificial intelligence.
Graduation Projects
The participants were divided into 8 teams, and the members of each team collaborated with each other to propose solutions that they presented before an advisory committee. The advisory committee consisted of Hanan Mansour Ahli, Director of the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center, Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Cyber Security Council of the UAE Government, Professor Eric Zing, President of Mohammed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, and Professor Preslav Nokav, Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Natural Language Processing. Graduation projects included an approach to early cancer detection, an AI-based fraud prevention platform, a weather forecasting system, a unified customer service platform, a 3G web based financial management platform, an energy management platform, a supply chain forecasting platform, and an alert system. The program included field visits to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), the Abu Dhabi Global Market, and the Integrated Transport Center, with the aim of informing participants about how to apply artificial intelligence in each of the mentioned institutions. It is worth noting that the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence launched the Executive Program in September 2021, with the aim of supporting the government and private sectors in the UAE by enhancing the capabilities of artificial intelligence through practical applications in facing national challenges. In March 2022, the university celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the program, which included 41 participants.
