His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, affirmed that the Dubai Government Excellence Program, over the course of 24 years, has established standards of excellence in government work according to innovative scientific foundations, and played a prominent role in promoting a culture of quality. His Highness said: “Innovation in government work is the engine of the future… The name of the UAE and Dubai has always been associated with excellence and creativity in work… We have come a long way and we have more to do to change traditional concepts in government work patterns.”
His Highness added: “The past period has demonstrated the efficiency of our government apparatus and its flexibility in dealing with the changes around us, by creating methodologies and mechanisms that meet the interim requirements and enhance our readiness to respond quickly to future challenges… Perhaps our meeting today confirms our determination to maintain the approach of excellence, leadership and innovation and move forward towards a future. A bright future in which new and creative opportunities come in succession.”
This came during the honoring of His Highness, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, distinguished and innovators in the Government of Dubai. Three levels
It is noteworthy that the Dubai Government Excellence Program 2021 ceremony is the honoring part of the 2021 evaluation cycle, which is an extension of the 2020 evaluation cycle that began in January, when the evaluation of the Dubai Medals for Government Excellence and the changing categories was completed. The most prominent updates in this session were the abolition of personal interviews and short lists of candidates and the implementation of field visits for all, in order to give all candidates equal opportunities to highlight their excellence and innovation. Honoring the winners
During the ceremony, the results of the 2021 evaluation cycle were announced, which includes government agencies that maintained the elite level, government agencies that rose to the elite level of excellence, and government agencies that rose to the level of excellence from the basic level.
The winning entity in the leading government entity category, which is the largest category of the Dubai Government Excellence System categories, was announced, as well as the winners in the categories of Best Achievement of the Dubai Plan 2021, Best Entity in Innovation, Best Entity in Service Delivery, Best Entity in the Field of Digital Government, and Best Entity in The field of efficiency, governance and the happiest work environment.
