His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah, chaired the periodic meeting of the University’s Board of Trustees at its headquarters in Fujairah, in the presence of His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Adviser to the Ruler of Fujairah, Vice Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.
During the meeting, His Highness, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, was briefed on the university’s plans, academic programs and new projects. He also listened to a detailed explanation of its programs approved by the State Academic Accreditation Commission, in addition to the latest accredited program for the Bachelor of Information Technology “Cyber Security and Data Analysis”, which is one of the Programs that meet the current and future needs of the labor market. His Highness approved the financial budget for the academic year 2021-2022, which will support the introduction of new programs in postgraduate studies, and the university’s plan for the return of teaching at the university was fully reviewed in the phase of recovery from the “Covid-19” pandemic, in addition to examining training plans for training and qualifying students in various fields. Scientific disciplines to raise their competence and skills in the professional field.
The meeting discussed activating the Student Solidarity Fund and supporting insolvent students with scholarships, and a number of memoranda of understanding were put forward with educational institutions and research and training centers inside and outside the country, with the aim of coordinating cooperation and integrating efforts to achieve the university’s goals and the outputs of its teaching programs.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah valued the efforts of the university’s board of trustees and faculty members in developing and advancing the educational process, wishing them success in achieving the university’s vision, enhancing its position among higher education institutions, and achieving the best results that support the state’s indicators in the education sector.
The meeting was attended by Salem Al-Zahmi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and members of the University’s Board of Trustees.
