His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, stressed that the approach of the UAE in its foreign relations since its establishment is based on firm principles of mutual respect, cooperation and the establishment of values of coexistence and peace, which is the best way to achieve the aspirations of peoples, expressing His Highness He hoped that stability would prevail in the Middle East, pointing out that this region is the land of peace and the cradle of the heavenly religions that shone over the whole world with the call of goodness and love.
This came when His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received, yesterday, HE Naftali Bennett, Prime Minister of Israel, who is on a visit to the UAE. At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness welcomed the guest prime minister, expressing his hope that his visit, which is the first visit to the country, would contribute to pushing cooperation relations to more positive steps for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries and the peoples of the region. His Highness and the Prime Minister of Israel discussed bilateral cooperation paths and opportunities for its development in various investment, economic, trade and development aspects, especially the fields of agriculture, food security, renewable energy, advanced technology, health and other vital sectors that enjoy mutual interest in order to achieve their aspirations for broader horizons of cooperation and fruitful joint work that It brings benefit to the two countries, within the framework of the Abrahamic Peace Agreement, which the two countries signed last year.
The meeting also touched on the importance of Expo 2020 Dubai, especially for countries in the Middle East to take advantage of the opportunities and the latest sustainability solutions and innovations offered by countries.
For his part, the Israeli Prime Minister expressed his happiness on his first visit to the UAE and his meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, praising the level of cooperation between the two countries and the steps they are taking based on the “Abrahamic Peace Agreement” signed by the two sides. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides affirmed their continued support for bilateral cooperation and joint action, in a manner that enhances their mutual interests and contributes to the consolidation of stability, security and development in the region, noting the importance of expanding qualitative partnerships in the investment and economic fields that serve the priorities of sustainable development in the two countries and the region as a whole.
