His Highness welcomed the visit of the French President to the country, expressing his happiness at the renewed meeting with His Excellency in the UAE, which confirms the common concern for the continuation of the continuous consultation and coordination between the two friendly countries. His Highness conveyed to President Emmanuel Macron the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, and his wishes for health and happiness and for his friendly country further progress and prosperity.
The French President congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the UAE government and people on the occasion of the country’s celebrations of its golden jubilee, “the 50th Union Day”, wishing the country continued progress and prosperity, expressing his country’s aspiration to new and promising horizons of cooperation and joint work that serve the interests of The two countries support peace efforts in the region.
His Highness and Emmanuel Macron discussed friendship relations, joint cooperation paths and opportunities for its development in various fields within the framework of the distinguished strategic partnership that brings the two countries together, especially in the investment and economic aspects, advanced technology, energy and food security, in addition to the cultural and educational fields, and others to achieve their mutual interests.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed all issues and topics of common interest and developments on the regional and international arenas, and exchanged views on developments in the Middle East region.
In this context, the two sides affirmed their joint keenness to strengthen the various aspects of the strategic partnership between the UAE and France, in addition to the consensus of visions on the importance of supporting peaceful solutions and initiatives aimed at consolidating the pillars of security and stability in the region to achieve the aspirations of its peoples for peace and development.
