Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers as curators of federal districts. It is reported by TASS on Monday, July 19th.
So, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Government Staff, Dmitry Grigorenko will oversee the Central Federal District, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko – Siberian, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova – North-West, Uralsky is assigned to Yuri Borisov, South – to Marat Khusnullin, Privolzhsky – for Dmitry Chernyshenko, North Caucasian will be controlled by Alexander Novak.
The new powers of deputy prime ministers were previously announced by RBC. According to the publication, the deputy prime ministers will be responsible, in particular, for the development and implementation of investment and national projects and state programs in the territory assigned to them, and resolve issues of providing financial assistance to the regions.
President Vladimir Putin announced a change in the approach to working with territories during a direct line on June 30.
