Razgatlioglu increasingly leader
After the dominance in Race-1 yesterday, Toprak Razgatlioglu he confirmed his moment of great form again this morning during the Superpole Race, with an unsustainable pace even for his direct pursuers. The new world championship leader got the better of Nicolò Bulega halfway through the race, gradually increasing the gap on the Ducati rider until the 10th and final lap, with the podium completed by Alex Lowes.
Bulega tries, Bautista slips
Yet, in the first half of the race, the real protagonist was Bulega himself, author of a fiery first lap: after a long run at the first corner, which cost him the lead in the standings and even second position (not without a small contact upon returning to the track with the Lowes Kawasaki), the #11 from Emilia managed to climb back to the lead already during the first lap, immediately climbing back into the lead. However, Razgatlioglu always remained glued to the exhausts of the Ducati Panigale V4R, until making the decisive overtaking move on lap 4 at the Quercia. From that moment on, the BMW driver continued undisturbed to the finish line despite Bulega’s good pace, thus increasing his lead in the world championship classification as well due to the strange and very dangerous Alvaro Bautista crashes. An episode that pushed the reigning champion to 17th place the final. Top-5 finally completed by Locatelli and Iannone, followed by another Italian like Bassani in sixth position. Petrucci also scored points, 9th behind six-time world champion Jonathan Rea.
