The widow of Kardam from Bulgaria has said ‘yes, I do’ in a ceremony attended by King Abdullah
Little was known about Miriam of Ungría’s life after the death of her husband Kardam of Bulgaria, so her wedding to the Jordanian prince Ghazi bin Muhammad was a surprise. She has been in an intimate ceremony attended by King Abdullah, as reported by the Hashemite royal house, as well as the princes El Hassan bin Talal and Talal bin Huhammad. A marriage that turns the jewelry designer into Princess Maryam Al Ghazi.
The groom is a professor of philosophy and a writer, the son of Muhammad bin Talal of Jordan and his first wife, Princess Firyal, he is a first cousin of the current sovereign and ranks 18th in the line of succession. Currently, he is the monarch’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and acts as regent in the king’s absence.
In the official photo distributed from the link, Miriam de Ungría can be seen wearing a simple ivory dress fitted at the waist while the groom wears a suit and wears the traditional red and white turban. The couple pose with Abdullah II between them.
