The regional president points out that this is the case in the Region, where the General Intervention of the Community offers “information on what each euro is spent on”
The president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, said this Friday that his team does not feel singled out in the face of the need expressed by the European Commission to control community funds directed to the Mar Menor because he understands that this should be the case with “any cent of public euro.
“We must control all public funds,” said López Miras, to insist that “we do it in the Region of Murcia”, where the General Intervention of the Autonomous Community offers “permanent information on what each euro is spent on.”
In this sense, the regional leader indicated that the control work is also something that “the State should do”, since from the evaluations of the report by the Commission it can be deduced that “the Government of Spain has invested nothing in the Sea Minor« and therefore »there is nothing to audit«.
“Of the 500 million euros that the minister promised for the Mar Menor there is zero, therefore, there is little to control the funds of the Government of Spain because they do not exist,” said López Miras, to insist that it is “an obligation of all administrations» audit «any euro cent that is public and that is allocated to any question of the Administration».
