Russian midfielder Alexey Miranchuk scored a goal for Atlanta United in the second match in a row of the regular season of the North American Major League Soccer (MLS). This was reported on website teams.
Atlanta tied with New York Red Bulls 2-2. The Russian footballer equalized the score in the third minute of added time of the first half, converting a penalty.
On September 19, Miranchuk scored his debut goal for Atlanta in a regular MLS championship match. He hit the goal of Inter Maimai, for which Argentine Lionel Messi plays.
Earlier, Miranchuk spoke about the reasons for his move to the US club. “I decided to play for Atlanta because I love hip-hop,” the Russian joked.
Miranchuk’s transfer to Atlanta was announced on July 30. The agreement runs until the end of 2027 with an option to extend it for another year.
