The so-called NPO program, to which a bag of money for primary and secondary education worth almost 6 billion euros, was originally planned to run for two and a half years. As a result, schools felt a lot of pressure to spend the money quickly, which was complicated by a lack of teaching staff to supervise the projects.
Various parties have already submitted parliamentary motions to extend the implementation of the aid program by one or two years. The minister is now working on this, he said in the House of Representatives today.
“I am positive about an extension,” he reported, without saying how many years. ,,I am now looking at how we can do that exactly, but also link it to the coalition agreement, which also has a lot of ambitions. I’ll get back to that in two weeks.”
