Mojang announced the release date of Tricky Trials, the new major update for Minecraftwhich will be available from June 13, 2024 on PC and console, both for the Bedrock and Java versions, bringing with it a large amount of new features for the famous game.
One of the main additions, already presented previously and also available within the various beta and snapshot versions, are the Trials Chamberbut there are also new mobs, new blocks, new rewards and also a new new weapon, definitively introduced into the game.
In short, it is a large-caliber update for the general economy of Minecraft, which expands the possibilities within the game world and enriches it with game modes, creatures and various activities.
New challenges and many other possibilities
The Trials Chambers are a kind of dungeon specials that place us in front of progressive waves of mobs to defeat.
It’s about resisting enemy attacks and trying to get to the end of the challenge to get special rewards.
Inside these “chambers” are also located two new mobs specials never seen before, namely The Bogged, a poisonous skeleton covered in mushrooms and moss that lives in swampy areas, and The Breeze, or a strange creature that seems to be made of wind, in the shape of a tornado, which can throw things into the air.
The Trials Chamber challenges can be undertaken alone or in cooperative multiplayer, with the difficulty level scaling based on how we decide to face them. At the end of the rooms you obtain the keys linked to the Trials, which allow you to open the Vaults, which are special chests containing various rewards.
Another gameplay dynamic introduced is the Ominous Trials, which are obtained by drinking the connected Ominous bottles, which as side effects trigger special events such as village raids and other rather complicated situations to manage.
The new weapon that will be definitively introduced with the Tricky Trials update is the Cluba weapon that is obtained using a breeze Rod and a heavy core, the latter conquerable inside an ominous vault.
It comes with three possible enchantments with Density, Brach and Wind Charge, all with different effects.
Other elements obviously concern crafting, with the possibility of using decorations taken from the Trial Chambers and an auto-crafting system that can be used with the new “crafter” block: this uses the redstone to automate crafting in the game, providing the right ingredients.
In short, this is a really big update, which comes following the one in April which brought Armadillo, different wolf variants and armour.
