Despite its global success and its enormous diffusion on almost all platforms, Minecraft strangely still missing on Steambut that could soon change: based on a clue hidden among the perks of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, in fact, the idea emerges that the Mojang game is arriving also on the famous Valve store.
It is still a guess and should be taken as such, but unless it is an error, the clue comes from a reliable source such as the perks made available by Microsoft for subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimateso at least it is credible.
Subscribers to the highest service among the Game Pass tiers, as also reported by Windows Central, can in fact aim for a perk that allows them to obtain 500 Minecoins to use within the Marketplace inserted into various platforms, including Steam.
An error in the message or a clue?
As visible in the screenshot above, the warning message to obtain the special reward reports that the 500 Minecoins require possession of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, in Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC or Steam version.
Minecoins are there in-game currency of Minecraft, spendable within the dedicated Marketplace, present in the various versions of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, which however is not available on Steam, with a historical lack that could soon be corrected.
It is possible that the message simply reports an error, but it would actually also be time to see Minecraft on Steam, considering that all its recent spin-offs such as Minecraft Legends and Minecraft Dungeons are present in the store.
At this point we await any information on the possible arrival of Minecraft on Steam, where it could find further users, even just considering those who would prefer to play the Mojang title by launching it from the Steam client.
