Jack Miller has been part of the Ducati family since 2018, he joined the Pramac team after racing with Marc VDS’s Honda. From the following year he was under an official contract, first with the satellite team and then moving to the factory team in 2021.
During last weekend’s Grand Prix of the Americas, the Australian revealed to Autosport / Motorsport.com that he had been left in the dark by Ducati about his future after 2022, when his contract expires. Everything suggests that Pramac rider Jorge Martin and Gresini rider Enea Bastianini (winner in Austin last Sunday) will compete for Miller’s seat for 2023.
At the end of the weekend at COTA, Miller was asked if returning to Pramac in 2023 was something he gladly accepts, if that means staying with Ducati. The pilot replied: “I wouldn’t care. The bikes are good, they are great. I know for a fact they have the same supply, it wouldn’t bother me. As long as I live the dream of MotoGP, I have the opportunity to fight for podiums, to be with the fans. This is the most important thing, it is my goal ”.

Miller led more than half of the GP of the Americas, before finishing in third position, thus conquering the first podium of the season. During an exclusive interview with Autosport / Motorsport.com on the eve of the weekend, the Australian stated that giving his best is all he can do to keep his place at Ducati, but there are also “political” factors.
After the race, he was asked if this third position could make a difference to his future, but he replied: “I don’t know, I’m here to ride the bike and do the best I can. That’s all. If I get a job with Ducati, that’s it. I will be more than happy to stay in the Ducati orbit. I like the group I’m with. I’m focused on this year, I’m trying to do the best I can at the moment ”.
His current Ducati teammate Pecco Bagnaia, on the other hand, already has a two-year contract with the Borgo Panigale facility. The agreement was renewed and announced before the start of the season, the Piedmontese will race in the official team until 2024.
