“I am counting on at least as many” admitted the Emilian coach at the delivery of the prize to Milanello by Paolo Maldini. It is the first time in his career that the coach reaches the triple figure at the helm of a team
A heart-pounding victory, that of Milan against Bologna at Dall’Ara, which in addition to the three points and the fifth consecutive victory in the league brings with it another important result for Stefano Pioli: in comparison with the former Sinisa Mihajlovic, he reached the 100 benches at the helm of Milan, a milestone that the Emilian coach had never reached in his career up to now. He had not succeeded with Bologna, touching the triple figure, but without ever reaching it between 2011 and 2014, stopping at 97, and not even with Lazio from 2014 to 2016, concluding with 91 tokens.

Moments of joy at Milanello, at the moment of the awarding of the award to the coach. Paolo Maldini spoke for the occasion, celebrating Pioli: “Two years have passed since that Milan v Lecce on October 20. Congratulations, coach, these are the first 100 of a number that it is difficult to say which will become. We are really happy with this goal. so important”. The coach’s reply to the team and staff was therefore not long in coming: “It’s all thanks to you. I don’t know if anyone will take it as a threat, but I expect to make at least as many,” he admitted jokingly.
