Milan renews: the Rossoneri hope to close the extensions of Leao, Bennacer and Hernandez by 2021. Romagnoli deals with the club without Raiola
With the break for the national teams at Milan, we return to talk about renewals. Technical director Paolo Maldini and sports director Frederic Massara have closed the extensions of Saelemakers and Kjaer respectively until 2026 and 2024. The thorniest case is that of Franck Kessié, due to expire next summer. The parties have not yet reached an agreement and remain firm on their positions. The Ivorian’s entourage asks for 8 million euros per season plus bonuses while the club is willing to err on the maximum to 6 million. However, there are also other negotiations on the table.
Milan renewals: goal to close for Leao, Bennacer and Theo Hernandez by 2021. Romagnoli deals with the extension without Raiola
As reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have no intention of returning to a prolonged and tense negotiation like those of Kessié, Calhanoglu and Donnarumma. In 2024, three players can be released on a free transfer: Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer and Rafael Leao. The goal is to close the renewals of the full-back, the attacker and the midfielder by the end of the year. Captain Alessio Romagnoli, on the other hand, expires in 2022 as Kessié. The defender is assisted by Mino Raiola but at this stage he has decided to deal with Milan in first person. The player is willing to reduce his salary from € 6 million down to € 3.5 million. Romagnoli, Maldini and Massara will meet again by the end of the current month with the aim of continuing the road together.
