Microsoft Edge is betting a lot on its brand new sidebar and the AI that we already told you about here. Anyway, today a new update it came out and we, as always, have studied it and are ready to bring it back to you. If you are curious, stay with us and you certainly won’t be disappointed.
Microsoft Edge updates again!
Microsoft Edge is convincing more and more users, thanks to a streamlined and fast system that allows anyone to enjoy fast and clear navigation. We are here today to talk sidebar again.
Here are the main changes:
- Default toolbar button: The sidebar now includes a toolbar button by default for accessing the experience.
- Discover app: If admins enable the Discover app, hovering and clicking the toolbar button will invoke both the sidebar tower and the new Discover experience.
- Discover app disabling: Admins now have the ability to disable the Discover app and still keep the sidebar. In this situation, the sidebar tower will always be shown.
- Hide sidebar: If a user wants to hide the sidebar so that it doesn’t always appear, they can do so in the sidebar settings (edge://settings/sidebar).
- Customization Options: Business users can choose to “always show” or “auto-hide” when an administrator “enables” the sidebar. More customization options for the sidebar toolbar button are planned in future releases of Microsoft Edge.
