The development of the 2024 elections is put at risk in four states of Mexico, after the National Electoral Institute (INE) reported that the electoral organizations of these entities are in “high budget risk”.
During the session of the Commission for Liaison with Local Electoral Public Bodies, the importance of providing adequate resources to guarantee the integrity of the electoral process was discussed.
According to the INE, the local electoral bodies of San Luis Potosí, Morelos, Zacatecas and Yucatán, face a budget deficitwhich could put at risk the completion of the electoral process on June 2.
