Metroid Dread It hit the market only a few days ago, and in a short space of time, this title has become the highest rated game from a Spanish study on Metacritic. With the 89 that we currently find on this site, Mercury Steam’s work has surpassed other experiences created by its compatriots.
While Yoshio Sakamoto and Nintendo EPD were in charge of directing this title, It was Mercury Steam, a studio based in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Spain, who carried out everything related to programming, modeling and basically shaped this project. In comparison, his previous works, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Metroid: Samus Returns They have 81 and 85 respectively, so they are constantly improving.
Speaking of Spain in general, Commandos 2: Men of Courage from Pyro Studios, it was previously the highest rated game in this country with an 87. On the other hand, GRAY of Nomada Studio currently has an 84, while Blasphemous from The Game Kitchen has an 82. Without a doubt, a great achievement for developers in this country.

Editor’s Note:
Spain has shown once again that its developers are ready to go head-to-head with the rest of the world. Yes OK GRAY and Blasphemous have been awarded in the indie environment, it is Metroid Dread the one that positions Spain in the AAA rank. Perhaps in a few years this country will become as important a headquarters for Europe as Poland and the United Kingdom are.
