On Friday night (14), security cameras recorded the entry of a meteor in the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba region. The celestial body was seen by residents of Uberlândia, Patos de Minas, Nova Ponte, Santa Juliana, Pedrinópolis and Perdizes. It is possible that fragments hit the ground, but no damage has been reported so far. The subject is among the most commented on Twitter.

According to the coordinator of the Patos de Minas Astronomy Observatory, Gilberto Dumont, in a note to G1, stations from other states also registered the entry. He also informed that professionals from the Brazilian Meteor Network are joining the images to calculate the route through triangulation and trace the possible region of the fall.
The region has already recorded other incidents like this. In May 2020, a glow was seen in the sky and caught the attention of residents of cities in Alto Paranaíba. In August 2021, a phenomenon considered as a meteor outbreak was recorded by the observatory installed in Patos de Minas. Check out the video:
