New rumors about a possible return of Metal Gear Solid 3.
A recent report stated that Konami had given the green light to a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater which is reportedly in development at the porting studio Virtuos.
Now, new developments have perhaps given these rumors further credit.
As noted by @ FaizShaikh7681 on Twitter, a former employee’s LinkedIn page suggests that the firm is indeed working on such a project. Zhiyang Li, who was a Lead Software Engineer at Virtuos until June 2019, states on his LinkedIn page that he worked on a “remake of an unannounced AAA action-adventure game“.
While details on the project itself are obviously scarce, 4K support across all platforms is mentioned.
So Virtuos Studios Working on Remake According to this LinkedIn Profile, Probably Metal Gear Solid 3 … Previously It’s been reported by @AndyPlaytonic.

The aforementioned report mentioned that Konami will be announcing several of its revivals, which presumably will also include an in-house developed Castlevania game and the Silent Hill project that has long been talked about in 2022, so we should know pretty soon what Virtuos is working on. However, the findings are in line with reports on Metal Gear Solid 3, so fans of the series have reason to be optimistic.
