If you have read our review of Meta Quest 2, you will know that the former Oculus has cleared stand alone virtual reality through customs with convincing technical specifications and excellent ergonomics.
Some inevitable compromises to keep the price low today stand out in a particular way, but in light of the repositioning just announced they take on a decidedly different value.
