Today Mercedes gave more text and explanation of how it wants to roll out its electric strategy in the years to follow. Part of those plans is a production version of the Vision EQXX concept.
The first photos – if silhouette is better in this one – date from a good year ago. There was not much information then and it is actually just as lacking now.
While the strategic meeting that Mercedes invested today, the brand only dropped that – following the EQE and EQS SUV in the pipeline – a halo model would also come to top the EQ range. A coupé based on the Vision EQXX.
There is still little that can be concluded from the image that was sent. Mercedes reaffirmed that the intention is to get the EQXX (or whatever the thing will eventually be called) on one charge at least 1,200 kilometers.
A record distance thanks to the advanced batteries the Germans hope to have in service by then – with a silicon and carbon anode for greater energy density. And thanks to the aerodynamics. Dixit Mercedes, that EQXX should become one of the sleekest cars, be out of and by extension history.
