Goodbye without regrets
“W14 has left the chat“. With this nice message, in full 'WhatsApp' style, Mercedes wanted to greet the W14 on its official social pagewhich will definitively be 'retired' at the beginning of 2024 and will make way for the highly anticipated W15, the car which in the hopes of the Brackley team and Lewis Hamilton will give the Anglo-German team the opportunity to relaunch the challenge to Max Verstappen.
In the shot published on the team's social media channels, you can see the W14 surrounded by the trophies – not many to be honest – won during the last championship.

In fact, they haven't experienced a successful season at Mercedes since 2011, the second year since their return to F1, when Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher were still in the car. THE 18.59 points obtained on average per match they also represent the fourth lowest figure ever for the Stella house since their return in 2010. Only the first three seasons, from 2010 to 2012, went less well.
