An increasingly integrated and sustainable electric mobility. This is the purpose of the new subscription launched by Mercedes in Germany, with a pilot project that will initially be available only in Berlin, with the Star that will evaluate possible expansions of the formula also to other cities and internationally. Customers will not only benefit from the new Mercedes EQA, the electric SUV of the German brand, with a fee that will include insurance and ancillary costs at a fixed rate but will also have access to a subscription for the Power 7 e-bike.
The subscription plan Mercedes-EQ City Abo is a formula designed to offer a flexible and integrated package, increasing the mobility experience of users. To this end, Mercedes has partnered with Swapfiets, a bicycle subscription service that operates in Berlin and other European cities. For 799 euros per month, plus a one-time registration fee of 400 euros, customers receive an EQA 250, comprehensive insurance with a deductible of 1,500 euros, maintenance, service and assistance in case of accidents or malfunctions of the car. Customers also receive a credit of 100 euros per month for charging which can be redeemed at over 200,000 Mercedes charging stations across Europe.
Added to this is the subscription for the Power 7 e-bike. “Mercedes-EQ City Abo not only offers our customers an attractive extension of the existing EQA subscription, but also another important step towards flexible, sustainable urban mobility”, said Jens Kunath, sales and marketing manager of Mercedes-Benz Germany. “This subscription model allows for an easy entry into electromobility, where customers can tackle the new vehicle technology and learn about its benefits without any long-term commitment.”. The Mercedes EQA 250 is powered by a 191 hp (140 kW) electric motor and guarantees a range of 436 km in the WLTP test cycle. The Mercedes-EQ City Abo program will be available to customers starting October 18.
