Mazatlan.- With the participation of 60 newts and sirens from the port, the third Scoring Swimming competition was held yesterday at Playa Norte. When crossing the seas for 3 thousand meters, Carlos Mercado Fong and Karla Luna Díaz took the fair.

At 08:00 hours the competition began, and it only took Carlos Mercado 48.18 to win the men’s category. He surpassed Quetzalcóatl Tirado (49.31) and Román Gómez (50.01).
The young Karla Luna, 16 years old, achieved 54.25 to conquer the Women’s Elite, over Betsua Valdez (56.14) and Zuri Zazueta, with a time of 11.02.36.
Both Mercado and Luna had been the winners in the second Scoring, with what they outline as favorites to win.
Other results
In the 20-29 age category, it was Marco Antonio Arreola who took first place, with a time of 31.49, leaving Francisco Zurita in second place (33.18), and Juan Carlos Moreno in third place, with a time of 34.31.
For the 30-39 years old, Zuleyma García finished first in the women’s category with 37.26, over Skarlett Villanueva (38.21). While in men’s, Ángel Rivera ranked first with 29.24.
Yanire Castro (44.35) was the winner of female 40-49 years. She beat Edith Pollano with 54.39. In men’s, the best was Jorge Luis Águila, with 33.34, while behind came Samuel Araiza (34.44) and Arturo Izquierda (34.46).
In 50-59 years, Joshep Hollands won the men’s with 29.49, followed by Alberto Morales (34.38) and Rogelio Fontes (38.36).

The juniors could not miss the competition, and in Rookies the champion was Felipe Amezcua, with 28.55 in men’s, while in women’s it was Stephanie Osuna with 30.02. In men’s 11-12 years, the champion was Pavel Pano (27:19, and Camila Nava (34:46) the women’s monarch.

At 15-19, Ana Camberos (27.18) and Yahel Dobler (27.10) finished on top. And in men’s 13-14 years, Kevin Gael Hanley looked like the best with 30:41, while Camila Ramos did it in women with 31:23.
