Within the last 24 hours, six people committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida area due to mental stress. Police have sent the bodies for postmortem. Police said that Deepesh Dev (42 years), living in Supertech Cesare Society located in Thana Dadri area, got a fan in his house on Monday. He was then admitted to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police said that Dev was addicted to alcohol and suspected that he was under mental stress due to the lockdown, which led to his suicide. He said that Sonu (25), living in Ghangola village of police station Kasna area, committed suicide by hanging the fan from the fan last night. He said that Double Singh Rawat (25), who lives in Parathala village of Thana Phase-3 area, consumed poison due to alleged mental stress, which led to his death. He was originally from Uttarakhand.
Dead bodies sent for postmortem
Police said that Naveen (27), living in Surajpur police station area, committed suicide by putting a fan on his house due to mental stress. He told that Pooja, who lives in Sutyanna village of the station EcoTech-3 area, committed suicide by hanging the fan. He told that the woman has taken this step due to domestic strife. Police said that a person named Shahrukh Khan, living in the Badlapur area of the police station, committed suicide by jumping in front of the train due to mental stress. Police said that all the bodies have been captured and sent for postmortem.
