The Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai and the Noor Dubai Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at cooperating in supporting humanitarian cases related to combating blindness and all forms of visual disabilities.
The memorandum was signed by Ali Muhammad Al-Mutawa, Secretary-General of the Awqaf and Minors’ Affairs Foundation, and Dr. Manal Taryam, Executive Director of the Noor Dubai Foundation, in the presence of a number of officials from both parties, at the headquarters of the Awqaf Foundation in Dubai. The memorandum of understanding provides for coordination and cooperation between the “Awqaf” and “Noor Dubai” to support and treat cases of eye diseases of all kinds for patients registered with “Noor Dubai”, through the activation of endowment banks, and the memorandum supports the programs and initiatives launched by the Noor Dubai Foundation for the treatment of eye patients. and cases of visual impairment inside and outside the country. And the “Dubai Endowments” instructed to allocate an amount of 300,000 dirhams urgently to treat a number of cases of difficult eye patients.
Al-Mutawa stressed the importance of building partnerships that contribute to improving people’s quality of life and support charitable and humanitarian work in societies, adding that cooperation with the Noor Dubai Foundation comes within the framework of the Dubai Endowment’s keenness to find appropriate opportunities to support the health sector and make tangible changes in the health aspect of individuals.
