Cute actually, such a standard Raptor
The first sentence on MegaRexx’s website says it all: ‘Do you like the aggressive looks and off-road performance of the Ford Raptor, but do you need BIG DIESEL POWER?’ The company from sunny Wilmington in America converts Ford pick-ups into MegaRaptors that give the Ford F-150 an inferiority complex. They are 40 centimeters wider than standard after conversion.
When you see it like this, you expect the MegaRexx MegaRaptor to be a converted Ford F-150 Raptor. That is not true. They take a Ford Super Duty (ie a heavier F-250, F-350 or F-450) with a 6.7-liter diesel engine. The sheet metal front and rear is replaced by wider and more aggressive looking fiberglass stuff. The new exterior makes the Megaraptor look like an angry Stadium Super Truck.
The MegaRexx MegaRaptor is as low as possible
In addition, almost the entire chassis is modified for better off-road performance. They say they raise the pick-up minimally to keep the center of gravity low. We dare to say that it didn’t quite work out, especially thanks to the huge 46-inch tires. In principle, the 6.7-litre diesel V8 remains standard. With almost 1,500 Nm and 475 hp, not much more is needed. They do change the transmissions so that the car accelerates faster.
Each MegaRexx MegaRaptor that leaves the garage is unique in color and options. Customers can choose what they want in, on and on their MegaRaptor. For example, a large zipper of lamps in the bullbar or a roll cage on the back. The company has been building Fords for some time, but recently they have revised the design to what you see now. Unfortunately, because every pick-up is slightly different, the company does not give a price.
