The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and those of the First and Second Division of futsal have held a telematic meeting this Friday to address the recovery of the games postponed due to the coronavirus and the storm ‘Filomena’, after which the federative body will send a draft with the proposal to the teams.
“The RFEF proposal has as its main objective equity among all teams. The Competition Judge, a body outside the Federation, will assess the latest proposal and issue a resolution, “said the RFEF. The vice president of the RFEF and president of the National Futsal Committee, Pablo Lozano, as well as the secretary and vice president of the National Futsal Committee, Paco Sedano and José Miguel Calle, presented the proposal of the federative entity, a work that has included in its preparation the Professionalized Committee and that has had “the opinion” of the players through the Futsal Players Association (AJFS).
To do this, they have taken into account that the greatest number of possible matches must be played; play the matches according to the calendar chronology; minimize the impact of the coefficients and develop the games before February 23 in the First Division and February 20 in the Second Division. Now, the draft will be sent to the teams so that they can evaluate it and issue a response to the RFEF. “This proposal, prepared in agreement with the clubs in order to meet their different points of view and their needs, includes the dispute of matches every 72-48 hours in exceptional cases,” warned the RFEF.
