Mediaset has closed an agreement with Dazn to open the ‘great game’ of the Club World Cup daily organized by FIFA, which will be held in summer and in which Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid will participate.
According to the statement sent by the Communication Group, “Mediaset will issue one of the outstanding matches of the day, both in Spain and in Italy”, while the Sports’ Streaming Platform “will offer free each and every one of the 63 games.” As ABC has known, it is still unknown if the encounter can be seen in Telecinco or four.
This alliance aims to “maximize the scope” of the FIFA Club World Cup that will be played from June 15 to July 13, 2025, and in which Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea or Bayern Munich will participate.
Dazn had made the exclusive broadcast rights of the tournament last December, when he anticipated that he would offer live and free of charge on the channel globally in different languages. An agreement that already included the possibility of carrying out sublicencies in the different markets to local chains.
The 2025 Club World Cup will be held in 12 headquarters in the United States over 29 days, culminating in the final that will be played at the New York Metlife Stadium, New Jersey, on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
