Farida Al Hosani said during a media briefing to the UAE government on the developments of the emerging coronavirus “Covid 19” .. that the health sector is continuing its efforts to reach community immunity by providing vaccines to groups eligible to receive the vaccination .. noting that the proportion of those who received the first dose of the total The population reached 74.5 percent, while the proportion of recipients of the two vaccine doses reached 64.3 percent of the total population.
She explained that the UAE is still ranked first in the world in the distribution of daily doses of vaccines, at a rate of 158.24 doses per 100 people, after it provided about 15 million and 500 thousand doses.
And she stressed that the UAE has worked, since the beginning of the crisis, according to a proactive strategy aimed at ensuring the health and safety of society, and through all national stakeholders, the situation is evaluated on a permanent basis, the development of all plans, and the strengthening of vital sectors in addition to the health sector with all the capabilities and capabilities that support national efforts to contain the pandemic.
She explained that the readiness of the health system through the integrated health infrastructure, planning and prior preparation, access to global experiences, training and the development of expected scenarios contributed to protecting society and preventing the complications of the pandemic, noting that all these efforts are bearing fruit in reaching the forefront of the leading countries in the field of control.
