McLaren aims for the top
McLaren enters 2024 with a lot of confidence, and not just because of the results obtained last year. The growth of the Woking team appreciated in 2023 has certainly given further stimuli to the team, while Lando Norris represents a driver of certain reliability and Oscar Piastri a very intriguing bet.
Furthermore, starting from New Year, Rob Marshall and David Sanchez are officially operational, the two great signings who hold the role of technical director (engineering/design and aerodynamics side respectively) together with Peter Prodromou.
Brown's words
CEO Zak Brown is very confident about the upcoming season and believes that Sanchez and Marshall can make an additional contribution to the team: “It's a good challenge to get back to the top of the standings, but I think we have all the tools to do it. Now we just have to beat the other nine teams, which is never easy“, these were his words to the British Sky Sports F1.
“I think last year we showed what we were capable of and now that Rob and David have joined the team, it's a further push“, he continued. “Rob has a lot of energy, a lot of ideas and brings with him a wealth of experience. We are enthusiastic, the team is very motivated. We've had a very good second half of the year, I'm just hoping to start a little bit stronger than this time last year“.
