Sinaloa.- Before the Attorney General of the State of Sinaloa, Sara Bruna Quiñónez, the local deputy of the Citizen Movement (MC), Celia Jáuregui Ibarra denounced the alleged sexual and labor harassment of six workers of the Barandilla Court of Mazatlán (Civic Court) and pointed directly to the immediate bosses of these women, who correspond to the Secretariat of Public Security and the Municipal Government.
At the meeting, the legislator explained that on January 18 the criminal complaint was filed and the investigation folders 235/2020, 77/2021, 177/2020, 171/2020, 176/2020 and 178/2020 were opened, which They contain the details of each process that have been postponed due to alleged legal arguments of the accused, who presumably managed to defer their appearances up to 13 times.
Jáuregui Ibarra directly asked the state prosecutor for a thorough investigation in this case that remains stalled in court.

Both the legislator and the prosecutor formalized the commitment to “provide prompt, complete, effective, impartial, free, equal and trustworthy justice” to these workers who lost their jobs or continue to work under pressure and aggression.
Jáuregui Ibarra mentioned that the data it has shows gender-based violence and systematic harassment against women who work in areas of public safety
“It is a fact that gender-based violence is growing by leaps and bounds with enormous costs to society,” he said.

For this reason, he promised to “continue to put the causes of Sinaloa at the forefront, dignity and respect for people at the center and raising his voice against any type of violence or injustice against women.”
