2021 was not an easy year for the team Haas and for Nikita Mazepin. The American team, which had already announced well in advance to prepare for a transitional year pending the introduction of the new technical regulations in 2022, has in fact closed the World Championship with no points won. The team led by Gunther Steiner finished last in the constructors’ classification for the first time in its history. Similarly, the debut year in F1 for the Russian driver was also rather disappointing, with a performance on the track that often – in the race as well as in qualifying – was not up to that of his team-mate Mick Schumacher.
Regardless of the results, however, the environment inside the American team’s garage – which had been characterized by some tensions that emerged during the season between the two drivers – now seems to be decidedly serene. This is demonstrated by a nice thought created by Mazepin himself and highlighted by the team’s social accounts during these days. The Russian driver in fact wanted gift a Christmas basket to all Haas employees, scattered across the team’s three locations in Italy, Great Britain and the United States. A gift received with pleasure by the interested parties, who responded from their respective operational bases thanking the young Russian driver with a lot of photos. “Thank you Nikita for arranging a Christmas basket for each staff member in all of our offices“, The message published by the Haas social channels to underline the beautiful gesture of the Muscovite.
