Mazatlan.- Trying to innovate the sport in the town with the inclusion of more disciplines, this Sunday, February 20, the second Sailing Regatta competition will be held on the Mazatlan beaches, with the participation of five boats.
The event will be at the local level, and the captains and sailors who participate in the fair have the objective of immersing the community in their sport, showing an exhibition to the public of a sailing tour that they can observe from the Mazatlán boardwalk.
The Tour
The departure of the sailboats will be from the area of the Universidad de Occidente at 1:00 p.m., to advance the route to the right towards Valentino’s, place of the first buoy that indicates the return. Afterwards, the boats will turn back to cross the entire area of the boardwalk to the open sea.
The sailboats are expected to have a balanced competition that will impress the public, as they must reach the North Beach area (Monument to the Fisherman), where the second return buoy is located, and turn to take the same route to the U de Or, that it will also serve as the final goal.
